*vent* feeling like I can't do right

As stated, I just need to vent. My LO is 9 weeks tomorrow, and we had a tough night. She was crying non-stop for almost two hours and seemed in so much pain, so we ended up at the hospital. She’s been struggling with reflux, and her GP prescribed a milk thickener, but I thought the acid was causing the pain (as th...

My baby is combi fed and I express but recently it become alot more painful (in the breast not the nipples) to pump. Is this what happens when your period return? And has the milk dried u...

Milk supply!

I struggled with making enough milk for my daughter & I’m having a little boy in June. I was curious if anyone has ever had better milk supply with the second baby or if it usually is consistent with how much you got with your first?

How do I get my breast milk supply up

I’m breastfeeding and pumping but I have no idea how much baby is getting. Sometimes when I pump I get a large supply but other times I get a small batch. How do I consistently keep my supply high?

Has anyone gone cold turkey with weaning off breastfeeding? And how did you do it?

I’ve tried plasters she takes them off herself now. I’ve done the garlic, vinegar, doesn’t bother her. I’ve tried the sucker buster balm, didn’t care for it. I even went as far as rubbing Birds Eye chillies, doesn’t seem to bother her either. My nipples actually feel like they are going to rip straight off my chest,...

Breastfeeding shields

Anyone used or planning to use silver nipple shields? Are they worth it, if so is it worth splashing out on lansinoh ones?

Not to argue, genuinely curious what most women think…

Breast is best- Unless mother/baby has health issues that make it an impossible option Fed is best- Even if breastfeeding is possible/ mother just doesn’t want to

Drying up at 4 months pp

Is it possible for your breasts to stop reacting to the breast pumps? I’ve done nothing different since the day my little boy was born. I pump 4x a day and power pump 2x a day. I used to get upto 5 ounces now I’m lucky I can get 10-20ml combined. I have tried changing breast pump parts regularly and that makes no d...

Breastfeeding is HARD

Why did I think this would/should be the most natural thing?! So naive. My little boy was born on Tuesday and we seemed to have no issue latching and feeding. But suddenly the last 12 hours when he latches I’m in so much pain for the first few minutes. Nothing has changed so why this sudden pain/sensitivity?!?!!! ...

Vino and Nursing

Okay mommas I’m feeling terrible… please don’t mom-shame me. I read from an online resource (I realize now could be unreliable) I could have one glass of wine whether I’m BF’ing or pumping and baby would be fine since the alcohol is so diluted and very unlikely anything passes through. That said, I’ve had a glass of...

Weaning off breastfeeding….HELP!

My son is 16 months. He’s been eating solids since he was 6 months. I breast feed him before his two naps and bed time. If he wakes up in the middle of the night I feed him to go back to bed…which has been more often than not these days. He never took to formulas, or bottles or pacifiers. And doesn’t like cows milk....

Breast pumps

Anyone has any recommendations for breast pumps that don’t empty your wallet but are effective? I’ve got a manual breast pump from tommee tippee and I just feel like it’s working very well, it doesn’t empty my milk out and I get plenty more hand expressing.

FTM - leaking…

Baby is 11 weeks old and EBF. Will I ever stop leaking from the other boob when feeding on the other one!?!? Surely this a design flaw. Does everyone else just catch it with a Hakka thing, it’s not a lot so I just throw it away if I do do that plus it looks very watery (foremilk?) not worth a milk storage bag. P...
