I found out that I had it when I found out I was pregnant with my son and they gave me meds to get rid of it and I’m pregnant with my second. It hasn’t affected my ability to get pregnant

My big sister got it when she was 20 and got pregnant with my niece the yr after

for me… it took me a long time to get pregnant… never did I think I’d get pregnant…. This year when I finally gave up on wanting kids… I got knocked up lol. Took me 6 years til I finally got pregnant… for me I learn when getting intimate with your partner just think of in the moment and relax. I did a long time ago had chlamydia but I don’t think that was the problem I think my body was just so uptight and not thinking in the moment so my body kept rejecting the thought of having a baby. 

@Thea that’s definitely makes me feel better knowing although it took u a long time it still happened for you , gives me hope . And I definitely need to work on the relaxing part and more confidence in getting pregnant I always thought after having chlamydia It was going to be impossible for me

@Bianca the sad part is I haven’t even tried yet I just gave up after getting it thinking my fertility was going to be messed up from it. I probably would of been gotten pregnant years ago if I didn’t automatically lose hope .

I found put I had it 18 years ago while pregnant with my first child. I got pregnant with my second child just 4 months later so it did not cause a problem with conception for me. Good luck to you.

I don’t think that chlamydia affects fertility unless you have it for a long period of time/it goes untreated. It’s one of the easiest STIs to treat and doesn’t generally cause any permanent damage

Was it easy getting pregnant after that ?

Yeah, I got chlamydia from the first person I had sex with at 18. Then at 20, someone stealthed me and infected me again. At 28 I got pregnant very easily with my son. So long as you took all of the antibiotics and went back for the re-check to make sure the infection was cleared, you should be ok. I have friends who had it more than me and have been pregnant many times. If you are really concerned, your gyno can do a scan and check for scar tissue but it really sounds like you cleared it up in time.

Yeah it cleared up and when I went to rechecked it , it was gone , I was really upset when I had got it I didn’t know my then boyfriend was cheating on me it definitely made me more careful when it comes to sex I haven’t caught an std since then lol I’ve been making anyone I sleep with get tested first Ive been afraid of someone giving me another std ,And I didn’t have no symptoms I would of never knew I had it if he didn’t get me pregnant at that time I went in for an abortion and they std checked me and after that I’ve been afraid that he messed up my fertility.
