Following as having the same issue. Have you tried a snot sucker? It’s works if he’s really congested or put him in the bathroom whilst you shower so it can lossen his snot to suck it

Saline nose spray & the nose frida are really good, I still took my little one out as she wasn’t unwell just had a stuffy nose x

We use the saline drops, snot sucker, there’s a booger something balm you can rub on their chest, and also some Frida drops you can use in their bath to open their sinus.

Going outside is good for congestion/sickness! My baby was born via c-section, so we have had issues with congestion from the beginning. Things that help: keeping a humidifier on near baby during sleep Using saline nose drops whenever she sounds congested If she still sounds congested, then using the nose Frida (but no more than 2x a day to prevent inflammation of the nasal passages) If she needs addition nose clearing, using the suction bulb (after using saline) in between the Frida uses (suction is very mild and only had to do this when she had a cold) Inclining the baby’s sleeping area (only a 10% incline is needed) Keeping baby in bathroom as you shower to get the steam to clear the congestion My baby had a bit of a stuffy nose today, so I used saline and the nose Frida before going out 😙

A cool mist humidifier really helps when our LO is congested along side saline and snot sucker x

I used saline spray. Many mums I know swear by humidifier or electric vaporizer but i haven't used either. You also get vapor rubs you can use from birth at boots I think they're called snuffle babe..I only used it when my LO was 6 months old and it worked really well for nighttime The only other thing I tried at that age was turning on a hot shower and just standing with him in the bathroom so he got a bit of steamy air but nothing too hot or direct and inclined he bed a bit at night

My bad. Snuffle babe rub is from 3 months old.

Being outside is so good for them! My LO is just now getting over a stuffy nose and we used the snot sucker and humidifier which helped a bunch!! I also really tried to make sure he napped/ slept as much as possible to help him recover

Saline spray is good but I’d 100%%%% reccomend the sterimar baby spray. It’s actually amazing. My baby HATED the snot sucker like I really struggled and ended up hurting her because she moved so much. Calpol plug in and sterimar is what I will use forever more! X

All Of Them Have Saved Me With Her Congestion . The Doc Recommends To Me But Im In The US . Also Like The Rest Humidifier !! I Also Did Go Into The Bathroom , Turn The Water All The Way Hot & Let It Steam Up ALOT & Got To Work With Her Boogies. Try Every Morning To Get Them Out . Make It A Routine

Saline nose spray and snuffle babe oil on a warm flannel by their cot, clears them out x

So Vicks makes this plug in with little breathable strips. It worked wonders for my boy especially during nap/sleep. I still use it (2now) when he is sick and struggling to breathe due to stuffiness. Plug it in furtherest away from bed and the vapor will take care of the rest!

Please keep in mind a lot of rubs, including babyrub vicks, are 3mo+

I am going to try all these things. Thank you so much mums !! I really appreciate each one of you ❤️

@Kassia yes! The boogie chest rub I mentioned is for babies over 3 months- I read this as 6mo baby, apologies! 💜

I out the dehumidifier in my baby’s room and it’s make a huge difference for naps and bedtime. Otherwise I use an aspirator every few hours to clear him out. He hates it at first (the noise scared him and it feels weird) but now he’s fine with it. And I obviously wipe his nose as needed… but if his nose is really clearing then I’ll aspirate again.

Calpol saline drops or spray worked for us, dehumidifier in bedroom, put a hot shower on and sit in the bathroom.... our little one is 12 weeks now and it took a long time to shift :( she was really congested from birth but it will clear :) she still gets bad nights with it but overall Is a lot better! Doctor said it will clear naturally aswell as their airways get bigger Hope it helps :) x

Hi my baby is 6 weeks and congested too, his pediatrician said to have the restroom really steamy and feed him in there and bathe him in the steam room,

They have olbas oil for babies and Vicks.

My doctor said saline spray can make it worse?? But I used it and the aspiration tool thing. You could also run the shower and take them in for short periods whilst it’s humid xx
