Should I tell my boyfriends best friend he has an addiction?

This is bad... so his friend is a listened therapist. i just had a baby and now my boyfriend has spiraled himself into a gambling addiction. Its a card game and it got bad fast... like in 7 months it has escalated to the point of needing an intervention. I don't know whats wrong with him... this is our first baby. He also gets very mad and I'm assuming wouldn't react well considering there's addiction involved. Its taking over his life to the point to where he's spending large amounts of time and money, neglecting me and the baby. Oh and to add detail he works with people who have addictions at his job... the irony is real.
