My girl is 4.5 months , she is also waking up hourly at night , very difficult to feed now , only having half of the feed she was taking before, cries alot if i try to feed her Now i learned that she only like feeding when she is calm nd drowsy before sleep Thn she take her normal feed so m going on with this now I was very worried before about her feeding Nd everything u have written seems like my story Hope things will get betterā¤ļøā¤ļø
Other than screaming and poor feeding does she have other symptoms? Lots of sick, mucus in poo, rashes, congestion? Just wondering if she has reflux, tongue tie or an allergy that is causing the crying and wake-ups. My baby cried A LOT and similar wake ups, he has multiple allergies that caused these, the crying was him being in pain which was also waking him up. Now weāve found most of them he is a lot more settled. Are you breast or bottle feeding? If the GP/health visitor isnāt helpful can you afford a private paediatrician? You may be able to get a prescription for reflux medication or allergy formula if you she have other symptoms to trial.
Ditto Sarahs comment above, a GP might be able to prescribe something. Yes babies cry but they also shouldnāt cry all the time. You are doing a great job reaching out & motherhood isnāt always the easiest and you donāt have to ācherish every minuteā as it sounds exhausting what you are going through. I hope things get better soon for you both
My baby has feeding issues linked to her silent reflux, and it is so so stressful. She sleeps well and is a happy baby but just the level of distress and upset at feeding is enough to drive me up the wall. What I'm saying is your situation sounds bloody hard and it's ok to find it hard. You're human x
@Sarah no other symptoms, shes never sick and poo is fine, she's been completely fine up until 4 months old and now shes just non stop š„ŗ thank you for your advice though x
Hmm is she going through the 4 month sleep regression? We had a period of 3 weeks where he was waking about 20 times a night but seems to have come out the other side. I donāt really have any suggestions, maybe speak to a sleep consultant, our health visitor said to contact them because there is a health visitor that supports parents of poor sleepers so maybe reach out to them.

Iām so sorry youāre feeling this way. It sounds like you are doing everything you can to care for your baby. Thatās the definition of a good parent. These stages arenāt forever, we have to have faith that things will get easier. I hope it gets better soon
