Peeing once diaper is off

There isn’t really a tip for it, it’s just what babies do and we have to deal with it 😅 I can’t remember how many times my little boy peed on my bed 😂

I tend to just undo the nappy and then leave it in place for about 30 seconds whilst I get a clean one ready. That tends to prevent the waterfalls for us 😂

We do the wipe but have worked out to wait a min or two before undoing the nappy

I have a wipe warmer. Open the diaper, toss a fresh warm wipe over their penis, do the diaper change and then remove the wipe and close. It's eliminated almost all water fountains lol

Apparently the “flap” technique works. Like do the nappy fanning motion. Fan towards his jewels before taking it out lol my bub has rained on me a million times lol

I use the flap technique! 😄 open the nappy up, flat it whilst keeping the penis covered to let a bit of cool air hit it… and that usually encourages a little wee

Cold air tend to make babies wee so if you leave the old nappy open for a bit that should encourage him to wee before you do fhe new nappy. Not easy if they're a wriggler like my girl and you end up with pee going onto the changing mat so it's a strip down wipe down and change job with a very unhappy baby because you've just to strip them out now wet clothes

I put a clean nappy underneath him before changing my little boy and i just change him really fast 😅

I’ve heard you can wipe their tummy with a wipe but it never really worked when we tried it

Yes, wet cool wipe to the area under his belly button. You can also slightly open the diaper(just enough for a lil cooler air to reach) and keep it mostly covered. he should pee when you try that.

The only method that works for me: - put the clean nappy underneath the old - open the old nappy and lift up his legs and clean his bottom, (if he starts to pee at this point you can fold the old nappy back up quickly) - then quickly remove the old nappy completely and wipe down the front part of his nappy area (and if he starts to pee just fold the new nappy up) - when applying cream I also gently hold the nappy so that it covers his privates and sort of apply the cream on one side at a time - then just do the nappy up and adjust it and your done If I do it any other way he ends up with pee all over his changing mat and in his hair and I end having to give him a bath lol

I used to open the nappy, wipe the area above the penis with the wet wipe and hold it open for a second and then close it again for a minute. My bubba used to pee in his ear haha

We take a wipe and and wipe below his belly button before changing his diaper and wait a little bit Ive never been peed on

rub a wet wipe across bubs tummy under belly button! usually does the trick!

with my son i would undo his diaper and let him get a breeze for a minute and then cover him back up & most of the time it worked pretty good

I put a wipe over him. Or orepare early

Sometimes slight tummy rubs can get baby to pee but I'm on 4th boy every one of them have peed on me multiple times haha and one of my boys would wait till I was changing him to poo or finish pooping so idk which is worse haha

@Cassie LOL. I feel like my LO waits until we’re least expecting it to pee on us 🤣

I heard wiping their belly button with a cold wipe for a few seconds helps but I don’t know 🤷🏻‍♀️

@Sharnee it worked for us like twice! After that it stopped working LOL.

We’ve rubbed my son’s belly button in a circular motion and it helped! 23 had this same situation but then eventually he grew out of it.

@Mercedes yeah nah I have 2 boys and didn’t bother trying much with either of them 😂 I expected to get peed on. And even started a “X days since mum was last peed on” calendar joke with hubby

I saw a trick to take a wipe and wipe below their belly button before you take their diaper off it makes them pee real quick haha it’s seemed to have worked for me!

Boys...you undo it then wait for them to pee again. Also they get baby boners so hold it down and wait lol
