Baby movements

My baby has been very active and now all of sudden I haven’t felt movements in 2 days at all I’ve been feeling unwell so not sure if that’s why I’m not feeling movement , I’m 23+3 and just unsure if it’s to early to panic about this?

If your worried ring up triage they would much rather see you to make sure everything is okay then you stay at home and worry x

I am 23+2 and last week I hadn’t felt baby for 2 days and was in bad pain so I went and got checked and they said I had round ligament pains but as soon as she put the Doppler on baby girl started moving again.. they like to give us a scare but always get checked out if your worried!

I’m 23+2 and feeling exactly the same, was thinking about ringing midwife but then he started moving here and there

My midwife has said to me to give them a phone no matter what if you feel less movements as a just incase

I’m 23+2 and not felt her much if at all today (I can’t remember this morning it’s been a long day🤦🏻‍♀️😂) I’m not too worried at this point as I know they can go hide as they still have plenty room and I also have an anterior placenta. I’ll see how it goes over the next couple days but if it’s anything like my first pregnancy my hospital won’t see me anyway as it’s common to happen at this stage due to not having a pattern of movement yet🙃

It could be nothing but if you’re worried, you should contact maternity triage. 2 days is a long time and it’s absolutely safer to be checked with a false alarm than not be checked and there be an actual problem.

I had this a couple of days ago, I was going to call up but my friend suggested downing a pint of ice water (has to be super cold) or having a sugary snack. That’s what she was told with hers before she went in for monitoring. Baby hasn’t stopped moving now for 2 days 😂. Hope you’re okay and definitely call if you’re worried! Xx

Ring triage better to always be safe than sorry

@Jessica my midwife told me to drink something very cold or eat an ice cream today! She said it startles them and makes them move haha!!

Eating or drinking to stimulate movement is outdated advice, babies should move on their own. It’s the equivalent to you be poked when you’re unwell, you’ll move but it doesn’t mean everything is fine. It’s quite worrying there are midwives still recommending this.
