Engagement terms ?

My midwife told me that 4/5 for example means she can feel about 4 5th of babies head over the pubic bone not engaged. But I hear it’s different depending who you get sometimes it can mean 4 5th engaged in other places

2/5 engaged means babies head is engaged 2/5 in the pelvis and she can still feel 3/5 so it has another 3/5 to go to be fully engaged

Engagement is ?/5 in the pelvis, palpable is ?/5 of the head that they can feel outside of the pelvis. My midwife could feel 1/5 of the head so I am 4/5 engaged and 1/5 palpable

Yeah so mine, on the badger app it shows the engagement so 1/5 would mean barely engaged Vs 4/5 would mean almost fully engaged

I was 1/5 engaged at my appointment last Tuesday, my BadgerNotes shows as 4/5 for engagement so 4 5ths being palpable x

I had my 38 week midwife appointment today and she told me baby is 3/5 engaged. So I said so if she was 5/5 it would be “go time” to the hospital? She said actually the opposite.. 1/5 would be hospital time. Hope this helps x
