Sleep issues

Hey ladies! I’m curious to hear if anyone else is dealing with this. We finally had my daughter sleep trained right before she turned one, and she was doing so well at sleeping through the night. She unfortunately got sick with a bad case of croup at the beginning of April so during that time I went back to soothing and nursing her when she woke up at night. Since then, she hasn’t slept through the night. She seems to roll around a lot in her sleep and will wake up horizontal in her crib or her head pushed all the way to the top and she’s completely irate over it. I think she’s also used to having milk in the middle of the night again. Does anyone else’s little do this in their crib? Do I need to get her a bigger bed???? I know this is pretty unique but just want to see if anyone else has dealt with something similar or maybe I just need support 🥹 thanks moms!

I had the same thing happen. We had our daughter sleep trained and then she got covid and I would soothe her and nurse her through the night etc and now she absolutely will not sleep without being on me nipple in mouth etc. if I try to move her or lay her in her crib she kicks screams and even stops breathing at times and will not stop until she’s picked up. We can let her “cry it out” and she won’t stop even 20 min later

@Marrissa ugh it’s so tough! We actually think my daughter had covid too at the time. No idea how to fix this 🥲

@Bri I honestly don’t know how to either and I am exhausted I’ve just been giving in.

You know….. I always worried so much about these things…. My boy never slept thru the night he’s 16 months, had 4 bottles a night…. then at 12 months got chicken pox (his bottle count went up to soothe him thru that) and up until 2 months ago he would wake up at least 5-6 times wailing for a bottle. Would HAVE to change the diaper in the night. If I put water in the bottle he’d get so upset it was MILK he wanted. I’m pregnant with #2 and was anxious to see how I was gunna get him to sleep thru the night and cut down on bottles. Then one night last month he suddenly dropped down a bottle. Then a week or so after that, dropped down another. Now we’re at 3 bottles…. 1 big one before bed, 2 thru the night, tiny 3 oz ones… I do have to negotiate sometimes and explain there’s NO MORE. Just water! But he’s suddenly, without changing anything else, sleeping better thru the night. Every child goes thru these moments and I think it’s okay to just move at their pace and follow their lead.

Our little ones sleep in all different positions so I don’t think it’s your cot. We leave them to it as us interfering makes it worse. They will figure it out ❤️ our lo was sleep trained for I’ll and then it went backwards. Waking ALOT. So we sleep trained again and it was a lot harder as lo started making themself physically sick (before sleep training whenever we didn’t run to her . We were also having to rock for hours on end before) lo worked out it meant we would cuddle and come in. Spoke to a sleep consultant who said we had to ignore it, clean lo and quickly repeat sleep training. We did this and it worked after only a couple of nights . It was so hard but so worth it. We did Ferber method . Now they sleep 11 hours. I feel for you as it’s so so hard . Not saying you should sleep train but for us it did work even tho I didn’t like it. Xxxx
