C section scar

I had a c section in early July. While my scar is healed, the appearance leaves me feeling very insecure. Does anyone have any recommendations for the appearance of the incision?

did you try to massage the scar with oil?

@Giulia I have not! Any oil in particular?

I use bio oil every night and I just massage it in for a few minutes and it’s been really helping with the texture and appearance of my scar x

try bio-oil for scars:) you can massage with circular motion for 5 min per day, above the scar, below and on the scar. It will help with time😊

Bio oil is good. But I think no matter what you use it’ll take a while to heal and to fade. I’ve seen people say that their scar is their battle wound. What they went through to get their babies. Or it’s a permeant tattoo to show the love for your child and how they came to be. I try to think of it as a place the baby was born to help me feel less insecure about it. And appreciate that my baby is safe

Fractional laser , we offer it at our Spa it’s an amazing treatment for any scar

I’m using palmers vitamin E oil. Been using it 2 weeks and already feels a lot better! I’m very insecure about my scar too. x

When I am feeling insecure about my scar my husband reminds that the scar is proof that I did what I had to do deliver a healthy baby.

I had my second cs july 2nd. Whats bothering you about the appearence? Its normal for it to still be red or purple in color. It takes time before it starts fading.
