Driving after c section

How long after your c sections did you start driving again. I waited around 6 weeks with my last section, however my partner is really pressuring me to start driving again now, as he needs to go back to work and can’t take the other children to school and clubs. I’m 7 days post section, still in a lot of pain and still taking my pain relief regularly. However he feels I’ve had enough time now and need to start doing more

Definitely not! If you're still struggling and in pain you need more time! X

If you still on pain relief you definitely shouldn't be driving. Also I would love a man to be cut through seven layers of skin/fat/muscle and be expected to do what us women have to do straight after 🤣

I always thought it was 6 weeks. And I’d probably check your car insurance I can’t drive until 6 weeks as I won’t be covered. 7 days? That’s way too early especially if you are still in a lot of pain.

A lot of insurance policies won't cover you until either the 6 week mark or you've been given the go ahead by a GP. Regardless of that you definitely need more time to heal! xx

No way! Your husband needs to be more compassionate about what you’ve gone through and your recovery. As above you may also not be insured by your insurance company. But you really need clearance and it doesn’t sound like you are at all ready right now!

Ask him to get cut open 7 layers of skin and get in that driving seat a week after 🤣🤣
