I have it too and felt a bit scared in the beginning but it seems really common and with a plan of how they reduce the risk of it being passed to baby. There is a group on here specifically for people with group B strep.
How do you find it out? Via urine sample at midwife appointments?
@Charlotte I didn’t know that I’ll have to look into it and see if I can find the group! Yeah it’s seems they have a plan x
@Heidi I found out when I went to the hospital for pains .. has a internal then it came back when I saw my midwife today x
I never tested positive for it but had stem cell/cord blood collection and it tested positive for it, my 20 month old is currently trying to climb over the baby gate so all was fine in our case 😅
I’ve had it in both my pregnancies it’s really common I wouldn’t worry too much ! Just take the antibiotics all should be fine x
It's very common and most women wouldn't know about it. I would definitely rather it be known and you can then have antibiotics to protect your baby and they will be extra thorough with checks after your baby is born
