Vaccume assist

Did anyone else push for four hours and then do a vacuum assist for one hour ending in a C-section and then finding out later that they’re only allowed to do three attempts with vacuum assist and end up with a huge hematoma in the back of the head with your child Being born, looking like alien versus predator? 🤣

I pushed for ten hours with four failed vacuum attempts ending in an emergency c-section. The OB wanted to continue to attempt the vacuum, and I decided that I was done and only then did they tell me my baby‘s heart rate was suffering due to all the attempts, and how long I had been in active labor which was four days. She had a horrible red circular bruise on her head for weeks.

Yeah, they kept making me push on the OR table and then my vital signs flipped to an emergency by that time my epidural wear off because they stopped giving it that way I could try to feel the push and I was pushing too hard my body handle my body and baby started shutting down

@Madison i’m so sorry that that happened to you mama truly sounds awful. My epidural had worn off as well and even months after having my daughter. I still remember the pain of them trying to pull her out of me. I’m here if you ever need to talk.

I felt the blades cut me open the sharp pain.. but I’m alive and so I he. And at least next time it will be a planned c section 😅

Same thing happened to me except he didn't look like an alien lol it was so painful because the epidural wore off when the Dr. told me they were thinking of doing a c section because she felt like something was wrong after 4 hours of pushing. It turned out his head was too big. I was soo swollen for the first week 😭 my heart rate started dropping in the OR and i felt them cutting into me and pulling him out. But we're both happy and healthy. 🩵

@Madison also doing a planned c section next time 😅
