Don’t be like me

Who else has nothing ready yet ? I haven’t done hospital bag, washed baby clothes and nothing at 37 weeks 😭 I need to get it all situated. Some people say not to build their bassinet or nothing until baby is here.

I'm sorry you don't have anything ready! If it makes you feel any better, I just finished packing my hospital bags last night, and I'm 38 weeks. For the sake of time, I'd start with those myself if I were you!

I need something to keep me busy while I’m having contractions at home 💁🏾‍♀️

I also have nothing ready.

Same.

I have nothing ready myself either and I'm high risk with three appointments a week and can be sent to the hospital at anytime don't feel to bad

OMG y’all make me feel so much better 🥹 good to know I am not the only one that hasn’t packed yet!!

@Mei yes I definitely will be starting because I don’t want it to be like “too late now”

@Ariella exactly 😭 so true

@Teela awe yes 😩 when do you plan on getting things ready ?

Honestly right now I don't know my family suffered a tragedy last week and we're all kinda just surviving day by day so I don't know when I'll be ready at this point I'll count taking a charger and comfy clothes to the hospital with me as a win

36 weeks here and I have nothing ready either 🙃 I have a 10 month old crawling around getting into everything so I’ve been exhausted 😩 but working on packing my hospital bag today!

i had my baby at 37 weeks and i literally packed the morning my water broke 😂 this is also my second so i knew what to expect

We’re renovating our house and the day after we moved in I went into labor. I did have my hospital bag prepped but that was pretty simple. I just made a checklist and shoved everything in there (I brought WAY too much stuff 😅) I think the only things we had ready when the baby was born were bassinet and crib and trolleys stocked up with diapers and wipes. I had friends come help me set up the rest of nursery and then did the rest while I was on mat leave

I’ve done pretty much everything already. I’m 37 weeks tomorrow and now I have no idea what to even do with myself for the next 2-3 weeks 😅

The same! I think it’s fine just do as much as you can do. You can always order stuff from Amazon last moment.

Don’t worry too much about the hospital bag. Just take some pajamas and shampoo and personal stuff, baby outfit -the rest they will give it to you. My hospital does.

@Julia Don't they charge you for a lot of it, though?

@Kailani Congratulations!!!🎉 I’m a first time mom and I’m 36w4d now! I’d like to know if the hospital provide postpartum underwear and nursing pad or do we have to bring our own ?

@Tricia Wendy thank you! and yes, they should. my hospital did. i didn’t bring anything except for my toiletries, a robe that i wore after i gave birth and going home clothes. other than that they provided all postpartum items :)) and they also sent me home with extra postpartum items on top of whatever was left in the bathroom that i didn’t use

Im exhausted but I’m trying to get everything ready this week , I just removed price tags on my baby clothes yesterday 😭

@Kailani Thank you!!!

Do the wash clothes first with tide clear and you'll feel better....we still have nursery to fix up (paint, decorate, buy furniture) & bassinet (snoo) is on the way but if baby come early we'll have to use the pack n play bassinet set up.....take a deep breath, give yourself grace and as long as you have clothes, diapers, a place for baby to sleep and your healing kit...YOU GOT THIS!

@Tricia Wendy you’re welcome! i also brought my own blanket and pillow. and an extra long phone charger

@Teela I’m sorry that happened but like you said day by day and you’ll be fine!

@Briana awh, well at least you’re going to work on packing today!

@Kailani you had it girl!!

@Allie you can just chill 😅

@Mariah hey, at least you had the hospital bag and bassinet and crib!!

@Julia yes that’s what I have done, did a last minute order from Amazon on the last basic things I needed. And yeah it’s just basically stuff for me and my man because the baby will have everything. And to go home outfit for baby!

@Tricia Wendy it’s okay because I still need to do that too 😭

@Benet yes girl thank you 🙏🏼

I’m 38 weeks and so far I’ve just washed the baby’s clothes. still got furniture coming in that we gotta assemble 😭 ima just focus on packing our bags tonight and build the rest of the stuff later when it comes in 📦

@Stephanie at least the clothes are done 😆

@Stephanie Not to alarm you (I mean, I was 5 cm dilated, and my baby is 9 lbs), but I was 38+3, and I went to my appointment yesterday, and am going home with a baby 😅 I'm glad I had just barely gotten my bags packed a day or two prior!

@Mei when were you originally due girl ? and why did you have baby already ? If you don’t mind me asking!!

@Karina Of course! I was due October 7th, and I had my baby, because I was so dilated. I had polyhydramnios, which means I had extra fluid around my baby, and my OB was concerned that if he didn't send me to L&D to slowly break my waters, that the umbilical cord may have come out before Baby's head if my waters had broken at home.
