Induction

My question is can I request to be induced at around 37 weeks ? I am honestly struggling so much right now I can barely walk (I have PGP that is getting worse and worse), I can't physically do anything without being in so much pain it cripples me for days after, am hardly sleeping due to the pain am so fed up and it's starting to affect my mental health

Following as feel the same!

I’m not sure they would recommend it if you’re both healthy (I have PGP too so I know you probably don’t feel healthy but you know what I mean 🤣) BUT there is no harm in asking at your next midwife appointment!

@Marnie my consultant has already said about induction at 39 weeks (nothing set in stone tho) but honestly I don't think I can wait that long the pain is just a whole new level 😔

You can request but they may not agree. It can’t hurt to ask and have that discussion

The only time they ever really consider it is when there are worries with the baby growing too fast, stopping growing, due date being out etc. My midwife wants to induce me at their documented 37 weeks incase it's actually my full term and said they wouldn't suggest it otherwise

@Ceri-Ann would I just have this conversation with my midwife?

@Amy that would be your first person to ask but she would have to refer you for a consultant review as the midwife can’t book an induction unless you go past your due date

@Ceri-Ann thank you will talk to her Thursday
