Elective C section at Croydon

I'm not looking for horror stories or anything like that I was just wondering what the deal with people being at the hospital meeting the baby, etc.after you elective c section.

I wasn’t at Croydon but at Kingston, as long as you and the baby are doing fine then you can have visitors, my family were up the very next morning after the birth

I had my girl in ‘21 and they didn’t allow anyone extra apart from birth partner, however this was at the end of COVID times so I can imagine that was why! X

I had 2 elective C sections at croydon and wouldn't want any different. Stuff was very nice, before and after the section and made it special for first meeting with the baby. We didn't have time for visitors as we went home the next morning 🙂

I had an emergency c-section in Croydon in March ‘22 and it was absolutely fine! Got to meet baby straight away and the surgeon and team were lovely! ❤️ I can imagine an elective c-section would be a lot more calming and in a very relaxed environment. When I was in it was Covid times, so we were only allowed the birth partner at the hospital, unsure what their policy is now. Good luck! You will do amazing! And you finally get to meet your little one!

Thanks, guys! My husband doesn't want to be in theatre - quite a cultural thing for him, so I plan to have my sister there. However, it's obviously really important that my husband is atvtge hopsital and gets to meet yhr baby as soon as he possibly can. I guess this is something to discuss at my preop on Friday
