Water broke???

Normal, didn’t feel anything, just water on the floor

Last time I was already at the hospital in active labor. In the middle of a contraction my water broke. On my plushy velvet robe 😭

When my water broke with my first, I had the “waterfall” experience that you see in movies (not common but it happens!). In the hour leading up to my water breaking I had back-to-back contractions (which weren’t painful so I didn’t realize I was in labor). Then I suddenly had a “snap” sensation in my abdomen before my water started dumping onto my kitchen floor. It sorta feels like peeing yourself but without the muscles relaxing. Immediately after my water broke, I remember feeling relieved because there was so much less pressure in my belly. My contractions stopped for about an hour but then restarted with a vengeance 😅

My water broke when I was hours into labor with my first. It felt exactly like a water balloon popping and sprayed the poor nurse who was about to check my cervix 🥲 I've heard that how and where the break in your waters happens makes a huge difference with how it feels, which makes sense. Mine broke in a pop by the cervix but some people experience a little trickle, typically because it broke near the top away from the cervix and just slowly trickles out.

I felt a pop and then a small gush of water but it was enough to soak through my underwear and bedsheets. I went to the bathroom and could pee normally but the gushes would continue every few minutes. We walked over to the hospital 3mins away and I leaked all the way there lol. I remember laying in triage and my stomach looking smaller than before. I didn't exactly feel like I was peeing myself, felt more like the same feeling of period blood coming out

I felt fine. I was actually in the middle of cleaning up. I took a break and sat down for a min and when I stood back up I heard a (pop sound hard to describe in words lol) but then I started leaking
