Some it's preference, some can't go into labor on their own. Some Dr's don't like going to 40 weeks. Other times baby would do better outside than in so speeding it up with induction is best. My first I was 43 weeks induction my second I was 39 weeks induction my 3rd I was induced with her at 37 weeks for IUGR. And my 4th I will probably be induced at 38 weeks
They do seem to be getting more popular! I had one at 41 weeks with my first baby and it didn’t work. Ended in c section unfortunately.
i'm being induced at 36 weeks because of cholestasis which makes me high risk and puts baby at risk of stillbirth.
I have an induction scheduled for 3 days after my due date. No reason other than they offered to set it up, so I thought why not put it on a Friday 😅 plus my first came a day early by herself, so I'm hoping not to need the induction anyway.
o had an induction because my daughters heart rate was over 200bpm. this time i’m also having pain/complications so i plan on being induced
A LOT more inductions. Obviously there are medically necessary inductions but it’s become common to voluntarily opt for one now too.
Wow that's definitely interesting!
I'll definitely keep in mind that it can also be choice based!
I was induced because I had twins and one was growth restricted.
