Dilation question RE induction
So I'm not booked in for an induction or anything but I'm just curious wondering if it does come to that will I need to be manually dilated IE balloon catheter if I'm already 2-3cm dilated? I had a sweep on Tuesday and she advised I was 2-3cm and baby was only partially engaged🤷♀️

I was told I didn’t need the balloon or gel/pessary when I was 2-3cm, they popped my waters and waited to see if I’d progress without the drip, I then ended up on the drip and delivered 5 hours later 😅
I was 2-3 cm and they went straight to breaking my waters which got labour going without the need for the drip or anything else
I’m 2cm and being induced on Saturday, been told it’s unlikely they will use ballon and just go straight to breaking my waters x

They'll most likely pop in a pessary or gel if your cervix is favourable. They'll see how you get on with that and if you aren't progressing they'll most likely move onto the hormonal drip xx
