Recent Delivery at Lakeridge Oshawa anyone?

Hi all, I'm due with baby number two sometime in mid to late october. Just wondering what the l&d floor is like? I gave birth last time August 2022 and masks were still necessary at that time. Were diapers and things like that provided or should I plan on bringing some?

I gave birth there last January and the nurses were real nice and helpful and the labor and delivery floor was nice and quiet and i have a list of what they do provide

Things they give: Sanitary pads: You have to always ask them just to give you big ones all they have placed around the bathtroom are small ones which do nothing. Small tube of Vaseline: They give you a small tube to use on your baby that you can take home with you but it’s not much. Daiper: they have a small bunch stocked underneath the baby’s hospital bed/cube. If you want more you could ask them but they don’t really necessarily provide full on diapers that you could take with you after leaving. Robe: they give you a robe to wear the whole time you’re there and if you need a clean one just ask and they will give you one. Warm blankets: they have warm blankets somewhere in a warmer outside just ask whenever & they should give you some.

@Destiny thank you! I'm going in for induction on Oct. 3, thanks for this helpful list!

@Kat your welcome

I gave birth there in August. The staff/nurses were so nice and did everything they could, but I would bring everything with you. I went into labour early and didn’t have a lot of stuff when I went into the hospital. It was a scramble by the nurses to get pads and mesh underwear. They don’t have it readily available ALL the time.

I gave birth a couple weeks ago there. They gave me a peri bottle and a couple diapers for baby and a couple pads for me, that's about it. I needed my own diaper cream, diapers for baby and pads for myself.

Thank you ladies!

Just delivered there a few weeks ago! They have baby diapers and maxi pads, vasaline, etc. They don't offer baby's first bath for non-first-time Mamas, unless you specifically ask for it. No masks necessary unless you have to be in an operation room, ie. C-section.
