Birth certificate

Where are you from? I'm in Australia and it took the full 4 weeks for me.

I’m in Canada. I applied august 20 and still haven’t received

Where I am you make an appointment to do it and on the day you go in you get the certificate there and then

i filled out paperwork as soon as i could and it took 2 weeks

I’m in Toronto, and baby was born on 20th Aug, applied on 23 and still didn’t get the birth certificate

I’m in the US, gave birth July 26, requested the next day. Just received it Tuesday Sep 24 lol but if I had picked it up, it would be a few days turnaround. I didn’t know 🫠

@Nina dang I got mine in the beginning of October. Had her on August the 3rd.

We're in CA. The hospital gave us the paperwork to fill out and then submitted it for us. Then I was able to go on the state website and order a copy to either be sent or picked up. We chose to pick it up since my husband is retired military and we need the bc to register the baby into the system and get him on our insurance. We didn't want to wait. So we had ours when he was about 2 weeks.

@Jessie wild! I am also in Canada (GTA specifically) and I applied August 15 and we got ours in the mail Sept 8 (though admittedly I’m not good at checking the mailbox, it could have been there a few days).

I m also in GTA. We wanted to travel in November mid I am being so impatient because of birth certificate I need to get passport also after that to travel.. for my first born birth certificate and passport both was done in 4 weeks now this birth certificate s taking forever

@Sandhya i havent. It said online that as long as ive recieved the statement on live birth, that it should come but honestly if its not here by the end of next week I will probably call

@Sandhya not yet. I received a letter today reminding me to register the birth or disregard if I already applied for it and that it’s taking them longer than normal to process things. So if it doesn’t come soon, I will call them. I still haven’t received any child tax benefit yet

@Jessie my baby was born July 31 applied August 2 still haven’t received it lol.
