Who to look after toddler during birth
We've just recently found our we're expecting our 2nd.
We live away from family (hour and half away). Not only this but my family are going to be abroad during my estimated due date.
I'm worried who will be able to look after my 2 Yr old when I give birth . I want my partner there but obviously my 2 year old needs someone too.
Last time I was induced on the morning so we kind of expected it to happen that night , plus we didn't need to sort childcare.
What have people in this position done ?

I don't want to do homebirth. Lost a lot of blood last time. We don't really have anyone that lives right near and all our friends have their own kids to look after too
He's used to staying with my sister and my mam and dad but they're away. He sees his gran often but she lives 2 hrs away

Think we’re going to start doing sleepovers with his godparents in the run up. With us a few times, then we’ll try him staying on his own so he’s used to it. Could also consider home birth?
