Positive reflection on my birth story 🥹

I was so incredibly nervous going into my second birth knowing what experience I had with my first (horrible to say the least) but to say I am happy is an understatement. After having an induction originally booked for 39+6 on Wednesday due to gestational hypertension, I knew in my gut it wasn’t the right decision. I stuck to my guns and my induction was pushed back to Saturday. They did a third sweep when I was there on Tuesday afternoon and said I was 2cm but my cervix was posterior. I went home and collected colostrum (20ml, the most I ever collected in one go!) and was having lots of back pain and cramping but I went to sleep and it all went away. Fast forward to the Wednesday I went out for dinner and at 2:30pm my waters broke 🫣 went in the hospital and was examined as 4cm at 5:30pm. Was told I wouldn’t be examined again until 9:30pm, which I didn’t need as I went from 4-10cm in 2.5 hours and after only 20 minutes of pushing, my baby boy was here 🥹🩵 born at 20:20 which I think is so special. For anyone left to have their babies, good luck and I hope your experience is just as positive and stressless ❤️
