Help 😢 what’s too much discharge?

FTM and this just does not seem right. I’m 39 +4. Yesterday morning, fluid running down my legs when I woke up, “ran” more waddled to the toilet and I was leaking water type fluid. Went to hospital convinced my waters broke for the midwife to tell me it’s discharge. She did a swob and said it’s discharge and even pulled clumps out. I’ve not had much discharge all pregnancy. Last night my back started hurting and contractions bad enough I took pain killers and I hate taking them if I don’t really really need them. I had to get out of bed to get them. Since 4:30am (now 14:30 so 10 hours later) I’m on my third pad for discharge and sooooo much more has gone down the toilet, some with red in it and some brown in it, ill post pic of one wipe in comments. But it’s constant. Is this “normal” . In a lot of pain but not regular contraction times.
