It sounds like you may have meconium fluid and your water is breaking. This just means that your baby had a bowel movement in the womb

Isn't it dangerous for fetus to inhale meconium fluid in the womb. I have been experiencing this for about a week now.

Is it like discharge or actual fluid? I had meconium in my waters and it was very obvious what that was. I also had a brown colour during my pregnancy and they wanted to check what it was. I had green discharge all through my pregnancy with no obvious reason all swabs were negative. My baby aspirated on meconium as well xx

It can be but typically they just have a team on standby in case they did inhale it but they explain it pretty well to you. But that’s if it’s the meconium and your water. It could be something else though!

@Amy I am not even sure at this point. I see discharge yes but by the time I check myself in the evening or next morning I always see green stuff dried in my pant. I am not sure if it's the discharge that turns green over time. I wore pant liner 2 days ago for a couple of hours to confirm it wasn't just my pant turning green and it was the same green stuff on it too.

I can only speak on my experience, by what your saying it really sounds unlikely to be Meconium , if it’s been happening for over a week. Baby’s can poo inside and everything be okay it’s rare they aspirate on it and if they do you will know because they very quickly become distressed, if it’s been happening for a week and you’ve been otherwise fine (feeling baby move etc) baby wil have honestly unlikely done any of the above. Discharge is very common during pregnancy. Just get yourself checked over , if you’re in the uk they will swab you and see . Take pictures of the pad and the discharge xx

green discharge sounds like infection. unless your waters have broken it wouldn’t be meconium.

I had this problem and now with this pregnancy i was terrified bc google said it could only be an sti of some sort got checked and had no infection of any kind my ob said that could just be my normal this also has no other symptoms like a foul smell or itching and burning just the discharge color alone

Hi ladies thank you for sharing for experiences. I ended up going triage yesterday and they have taken a swap to check what it is, I am waiting for the result in couple of days. They were all saying it's strange and saying maybe the colour was more blue than green on the picture I took. Anyways I await the result and I will inform you ladies. Thank you all.
