I had an induction with my little boy due to reduced movements and I was a bit skeptical too due to seeing negative things about it. However, mine was great. I had the teabag inserted at 9pm and by 10am the next morning my little boy was in my arms 🩵
i had an amazing induction experience with my first. i was induced at 39+6, pessary was inserted at 10:30am, went home with cramps and had a sleep for a bit. contractions started about 4pm, carried on with my day, went to the shop etc, and then they started getting intense around 9pm/10pm. got to hospital for 11:30pm and was 8cm dilated when i arrived. my waters broke at some point on their own and baby was born in 3 big pushes at 2:57am, and i only needed gas and air. honestly i was sooo in the zone and genuinely had the most wonderful experience. it was beautiful and i can't wait to give birth again because i truly had the best time, despite being nervous abour being induced. if you've done hypnobirthing, make sure you use your breathing techniques, keep active and drink plenty of water. best of luck xx

Hi lovely, I was induced just 3 weeks ago. First pessary that stayed in for 24 hours. Had mild contractions but not getting stronger or more consistent. After that they gave me a pill (inserted into cervix like pessary) that lasts 6 hours. Same thing. So they gave me another one, after 3 hours with second pill I was 3 cm, when they send me down with midwife my waters broke and he was there after only 15 minutes pushing. I thought it’s going to be horrific and was scared but honestly it wasn’t so bad. Just prepare yourself with whatever helps you for destruction. Tablet or laptop with headphones so you can watch a movie or listen to music, as well as tens machine, if you can get one, massively helped me. You’ll be fine. It’s a controlled setting and you know you’ll have your baby soon! Keep that in mind. All best to you x
