Long early labour

I'm in early labour for the second day now. Have been to the assessment unit today in the morning (after contracting for 16 hours and with rather regular contractions - every 3-4 minutes for 50-60 seconds long), turned out I was only 1cm dilated. Now back at home, the contractions have slowed down - once every ten minutes, and last for ~60 seconds, though they've become stronger. Just wondering how much longer this early labour can last. Anyone else had/is having a long early stage?

I’ve been having regular tightenings for about a week and I’m 2cm dilated. It can last hours/days/weeks and is hard to predict. I’d suggest staying as active as possible, and eating and sleeping while you can x

Wow. I really feel for you that sounds intense. Hang in there, surely can't go on for much longer. I am 40+2. Had sporadic cramps that went on through out last night but no where near as frequently as you. Had them on occasions throughout the day today.

Im the same and have been for 4 days 🫣 im 37+5

I’ve been like this for over a week now. Is this your first baby? It’s my second but apparently more common with later babies.

I feel you, I’m now 3cm dilated but been in labour since Tuesday, officially exhausted😂 x

@Jade yes, that's my first one. Gosh, I can't imagine being like that for a week 🥺

@Lis oh, all the best, I thought I was exhausted after 2 days and nights, but a week 🫣 x

@Olya thank you! Now a week and a day 😩😂 still no baby, the frustration 😂😂 hope you’re okay xx
