Solihull Hospital

Hi ladies, has anyone given birth at Solihull Hospital recently? I was at Heartlands originally but really didn’t want to give birth their from other people’s experiences so I’ve switched to Solihull but unsure of what it is like x

I wasn’t aware they had a maternity ward! Is this a new thing as I was told you can’t give birth there just scans / midwife x

The birthing unit It’s been closed off since Covid, from what the midwife told me is that it won’t reopen due to lack of staff. It’s only used for scans and appointments x

I just thought that Solihull hospital was for scans and antenatal appointments.. Heartlands was amazing for me when I had my first, due 7th Nov and will be returning for my 2nd ☺️ I just know they have everything to hand as well if anything were to happen x

Has it reopened when I went was only doing antenatal appointments and quite run down x

If it has reopened, I’ll be so mad lol I live 10 minutes away- I had to drive 45 hour minutes when my baby was on the way 😭😂

Its not reopening its a community midwife hub now
