Looking for birthing class recommendations

Hey mamas, This is my second child and I did not like how the first one went. I was told I may be able to do a VBAC so I would like to be prepared. I’m not sure how many people watch nurse Jen Hamilton on here(she’s on TikTok) but she mentioned a pushing technique that is supposed to be MUCH better/effective at birthing the baby-however when I tried to do this with my first, the nurse there stopped me and said “no you HAVE to hold your breath when you’re pushing” It got to the point that my uterus just stopped contracting and they had to do a c-section. I partially blame them for being so heavy on the epidural, and partially blame the way they tried to control how I pushed. I would like to find a birthing class that supports the technique I saw mentioned by this labor and delivery nurse I follow, as I like a lot of her advice and she is very experienced-however she is not in my state so unfortunately I cannot request her specifically 🤣😅

Can confirm I did not hold my breath for every push. 🤣

@Kodi see I KNEW that nurse was full of shit-but that was our first baby so I didn’t know how to tell her to fuck off while I’m in the middle of trying to figure out what I’m doing.

Not sure about that exact technique. But seeing a pelvic health physical therapist could definitely help with this. That’s how I pushed very effectively with my first. They teach you how to relax and open up your pelvic floor and how to breath properly so that baby moves smoothly down. I had an epidural as well but I was very thankful to have a smooth pain free birth. I laughed and had a really nice time through the entire pushing stage. So you could look into them! They also can help huge with preparing for birth in general, any pains you have during pregnancy, and also post partum.
