Early induction

Are you able to ask/beg to be induced early?? I am so so over pregnancy, Ive struggled right from the start I’m always unwell and again I’m bed bound with absolute 0 energy to move it’s making me cry. I’m almost 34 weeks but just think how perfect it would be if baby came at 37/38 weeks.

Sadly they won’t unless there’s a medical reason and even so they don’t like to do inductions now until 39 weeks xx

They won’t induce you before 40 weeks for any non medical reason as far as I’m aware xx

I thought this would be the case x

34 weeks is way too early for the baby... Just take it easy and relax, allow yourself to be lazy and just chill! I'd be lying if I said I wasn't hoping for a 37 week birth tho 😂

@Heidi yeah I don’t want her at 34 weeks hence why I said 37/38 weeks would be perfect. I have a very full on job unfortunately so being chill is not an option and I just keep taking time off sick x

Have you considered a c-section? They normally schedule from 39 weeks.

@Nicola I would however think if me and baby are “well” it’s abit of an unnecessary surgery to have. Although not ruled out completely

I was told by a midwife in my last pregnancy that you can request to be induced before your due date if you have no complications and baby is measuring on track. Obviously not super early but after the 37 week mark. No different than having a planned c-section at 38-39 weeks
