When to drive postpartum?

I didn’t have any complications, stitches or medication needed after birth (vaginal) and I’m unsure when to start driving again. Does everyone have a timeframe?

I was driving the next day 😊

I had stitches and was driving the next day. I think there is guidance for people who have had a C-section, which is 6 weeks. You need to be able to perform an emergency stop.

@Natasha I never drove for a few weeks with my first but I had a lot of issues and was low on iron so didn’t feel confident to drive but this time I feel fine! Thank you I’ll probably drive soon if there isn’t a restriction

I don’t think there’s a timeframe if your birth was vaginal, just whenever you feel like you can drive

I’ve been driving since the second day after I gave birth. X

I had a C-section on the 20th and even then Dr says check with insurance, insurance says check with Dr… neither want to take liability. I went for a drive around the block to check I felt okay, then today we had a midwife appointment 10 minutes away so I drove there, I'd say just take it slowly - you'll know if you feel safe ☺️
