Ah that sucks your partner can’t stay with you!! I hope you’re doing okay! There’s a baby at the end of the process, just keep your chin up my lovely🥰🥰❤️
I’m being induced next week, my hospital says I can have one birthing partner with me at all times if I’m being induced but I can have two when I’m in actual labour.. so I think it just depends on your hospital 😘
@Amy oooh I’m really hoping my hospital has the same policy then! I’m such an overly emotional person, I’ll either need my partner or an emotional support nurse 😂 I’m sure they’d rather my partner! I hope your induction goes well honey!!🥰
i have polyhydramnios too. 36 weeks and baby measuring over 7 pounds. Also have GD. how many weeks are you? i find out next week at my growth scan if i need to be induced or not. What’s your AFI been like?
@Kate I’m 38+2, I only found out about the Polyhydranios at a 36 week growth scan, I was told an OB would call me, she sent me for another scan at 37+5 and they said it had increased, at 36 weeks it was 7.4cm, it’s currently 11.4cm. I was told that most people with poly get induced because of the risk of an unstable lie (baby going breech) xx
blimey only 11.4 ! mine was 33 🤣 i’m hoping to be induced next week lol so uncomfortable xx
@Kate probably because of your GD, I don’t have GD, because I have no GD they have said it’s more than likely because I’m further along than originally thought. Because of the poly I have extreme PGP and I now have to have postpartum physio and blood clotting meds after birth x
I hope so too for you! 🥹 I am the same, especially in this pregnancy I get sad when my partner goes to work 😂 just explain to them that it would be best if they are there with you at the hospital, fingers crossed for you! 🥰 thank you that’s very kind! I hope yours does too 😘 x
I’m currently being induced as I’m 42 weeks tomorrow. My hospital only allows my partner here until 8pm but the nights have been so hard. My cervix was only 1/2 a cm dilated so I’ve needed 2 different pessaries so far & dealing with that on my own has been an immense challenge. My second pessary hurt like an MF so the midwife on overnight tonight said my partner can come back at 1am for the third pessary (if it’s not needed they’ll pop my waters) My only advice is to bring as many things from home with you because I’ve found induction very challenging emotionally because of the very slow progress
