C section dates

I got my C-section date like a month ago and I’m only 28.5 weeks. That’s a bit odd that they’re not telling you anything

I got my date in my second trimester. But I think it’s something you would have to ask for.

I got my c-section date at 32 weeks, and that’s just in case I’m still hoping for a VBAC

I asked today she said point blank said no not until 7 days prior I've have planned c section since the start I do have another consultant appointment at 36 weeks I might have to request a date again then

I’ll be finding out my date at my next appointment at 33 weeks.

That is annoying, keep pushing. I’ve never heard anyone have to wait so late.

Where are you based? Sounds very much like my health board too!

Section 1 was booked at 32 weeks. Section 2 was booked at 24 weeks. Every hospital is different but maybe they have staffing issues and don’t know their staff rota and theatre diary that far out. Some hospitals do that far in advance to plan, some don’t.

I’m mid Cheshire hospitals trust and it’s the exact same here. Terrible when you need to arrange childcare, it just doesn’t work with only 7 days notice!

I’m literally in the same position! I’m 35 weeks next week and haven’t been given a date yet which is stressful as I’ve got an 11 month old who I need to arrange childcare for. When I asked at my last appointment the midwife couldn’t care less basically! Also where I’ve not long had my first born they’re needing to do a c section so it’s not like they need to convince me otherwise! Baffles me!

I'm in Kent they have been amazing and well organised until now 😂 I just find it very annoying as my partner also needs to let work know his exact date he needs off so he can be at home with us longer and does not want to spring it on them last minute.
