Will you be doing an epidural? I had an l&d nurse explain to me that certain induction medications can cause very intense contractions, more than you’d feel if your body was naturally contracting. So don’t feel upset if it feels like more than you were expecting, it very well might be! Do whats best for you and wishing you luck ✨
Similar thing happened to me for my first, but they only had me do cervadil for 12 hours before starting Pitocin. I ended up getting an epidural to let my poor body rest. Once I couldn't feel the constant discomfort/pain my body relaxed and started dilating pretty quickly.
Get up and move! Take a shower or bath, walk, sway, dance, breathe through them, relax your body- tension makes it worse
@Karina I have gestational diabetes and today is my due date
@Hanah N. Thank you yes it’s very painful
@Hannah oh okay and that is good on your actual due date 🥹
I’m sorry hun, contractions are so so painful :(. I do not have any advice since I am going to be a FTM, but why are you being induced for if you don’t mind me asking ?
