How long?

39+3 and fully expected to go past my DD as it’s baby number 1 but felt a trickling about 5am this morning went back to sleep and woke up in my waters 🫣😂 no contractions etc yet, anyone got experience with how long it took for them once waters went? I’m still in shock tbh haha 🩷

If your waters have gone best to call triage to see what they want you to do, they may want to make a note of when they went as they usually like to have a plan if nothing has happened within 24 hours. Hopefully contractions start soon!

Yeah I’ve done that part, just a waiting game now, think it was just so unexpected 😂 xx

So exciting! ❤️ keep us updated x

Exciting! Best of luck sweet 🥰

My contractions started pretty soon after my waters broke but it’s been 17hours and I’m not in established labor yet! I think it’s different for everyone. Hopefully you get some movement soon :)

My waters went at 5pm and by 10:30pm I began having contractions - they only gave me 24 hours to go into active labour from time the waters went otherwise they give you an induction due to infection risk xxx

@Ellen ahhh okay, thank you! Still no contractions 7h later 🫣 wishing you the perfect birth 🩷

@Aimee okay, hopefully my contractions start coming soon then 🤞🏼 thank you xxx

wishing you the best @Madeleine!❤️ send some of your waters breaking luck this way, 39+3 aswell and i’m ready 🤣

Nearly 100% of women are in established labour by 48hrs. The only risk of infection is when anything goes inside of vagina. So no sex obviously, no fingers, no vaginal examinations 🙌🏼🙌🏼 As for me, if my waters break before contractions, I ain't going anywhere nor calling, I will patiently wait for baby to come on their own time (within that 48hrs time frame) That is if I feel well, baby moves as before and no meconium or blood in the waters ❤️
