Where are you located? And no, VBAC is not higher risk than a c section. I have 2 VBAC, and also, I'm a doula.
That’s just what I was told by my midwife 🤷♀️ maybe because I’ll be giving birth at 18m PP
@Laura you're case is different. Also, you're in a country, do not practice VBAC.
@Laura but the time for the momma is safe for having a VBAC. But of course, we (I ) need more information so we can help her. 🫶🏼
I’m in Australia, had my first baby via unplanned csection Aug 2021 and was ok to try for a VBAC for August 2023. It didn’t work out unfortunately, but all ob’s and midwives were very supportive for me to try. Talk to your drs, I think it depends on why you had your first csection etc too. Good luck!
Depends on the country. I’m in Australia and have been given an automatic c section for my next one. Which I’m happy with. If I wanted to try VBAC I would have to go to a better/ private hospital (still under public care) as my local hospital is public and low risk births only. Basically VBAC is higher risk, but very possible.
