Awe how much did they weigh? And I hear when you make yourself walk, that is the quickest way to heal.

Congratulations 💕 never had a C section so I’m not sure. Praying for healthy and speedy recovery ❤️‍🩹

@Chloe I’m trying so hard to walk but I want to cry. He weighs 8 pounds and 5 oz the ultrasound tech said he would weigh 8 pounds and 32 ounces

@El thank you I really hope this pain goes away soon lol

Honestly gurly you have to take your time but push through and walk it’s the only way. When you’re standing up don’t rush take your time and slowly stand up and keep your head up don’t look down. Its going to hurt but push through in the hospital, take your pain meds when due

@Kae thank you I’m trying it just sucks especially since my baby is fussy at night

I stopped feeling the pain within the week of leaving the hospital. Every day became easier. Also wear your binder if you don’t have one yet ask for one. It helps so much

@Hannah Trust me I understand my baby is the same way. Im currently 3 weeks PP today 😭. You’re doing great and congratulations mommy🥳🫶🏾🥰

Congratulations! The pain is so hard. What pain relief have you been offered? A few things that help me: - staying on top of pain medication. Taking it on time etc. which can be hard if you’re relying on nurses to do this and they’re late! - wearing elastic tubing or something else to provide even pressure to your wound area. Holds everything in place which reduces pain when walking especially. Don’t have it tight, just nice and snug. - hold a rolled small towel or even press your hand into your wound a little when standing, or bending. The light pressure keeps things from moving which again reduces pain. - when getting out of bed, put knees up, then roll your whole body to that side before using your arms to help push yourself up. Try avoid sitting straight up from being flat on your back. Good luck, it does get better, the first week is hard but I noticed significant improvements each day after that, getting up out of bed was really the only pain that hung around for a long time.

@Kae thank you

@Kae thank you and you as well

@Ellen thank you for your advice I really appreciate it

@Ellen thank you for your advice I really appreciate it

I've heard that postpartum or compression shorts are really good to help reduce swelling after C-section, I would double check with the doctor though.

I’ve had a c section and tbh the only way to heal quicker is to be active and walk around but I would personally advise you to rest up and have some pain killers the pain should start getting better after a week or 2 in the meantime you should definitely have a supportive partner or family member look after baby while you’re recovering as it will be extremely hard to look after baby while recovering from c section
