This is so hard!! Colic often starts between 2-3 weeks old so yes they can be lovely and peaceful but they can also cry for hours. Good resource for colic https://iconcope.org/ However if she's crying all the time I'd go see your GP to make sure it's not something that can be treated. Best of luck, it's really hard to have your baby cry so much but it will get better, hold on in there and make sure to get help if you can.
That sounds really tough⌠could you maybe speak to the health visitor or GP about it? Maybe you could ask them to have a look in her mouth just in case thereâs a reason for her needing the boob or bottle to suck on. Donât feel like you have to have people around if itâs going to make you feel worse, you can tell them the truth that she is very unsettled and until she stops you need to focus on being there for her so they might back off a little. I hope you find some relief!
Iâm in the same boat I was just breast feeding her and it was like she wasnât getting enough even though my boobs constantly pour out milk it made no sense but for the last week Iâve introduced formula as I have a 3 and a 2 year old so to be able to give them attention when I need to put baby down I give her 3-4oz of formula after being on the boob anywhere up to 2 hours before she still drinks all that bottle then she finally settles, so I would deffo try upping the bottle of milk you give her see if it helps and make sure she winds and keep her up right for 30 mins after hopefully it helps. Hang in there itâs still early days but youâve got this đŞđź
My son was tongue tied and had CMPA and he cried constantly until we got both sorted. Hope GP can give you some answers and help xxx
