Thank you 😊
Yes I had a wonderful experience 2 months ago! My first was a really traumatic induction ending in emergency c-section at a different hospital and honestly this was night & day to that. Smooth, quick, good aftercare. I’ve had several friends also have an elective there and also have a great experience.
Thank you Allie that’s lovely to read 😊 I have mine booked for very soon!!!
I had an elective c section at St. Hellier a year ago, and was very pleased with it. The only thing I would personally do differently is to pay for a private room over the night that I stayed in the hospital. Having 5 other women and babies in the same room when you try to rest is a bit of a nightmare.
Hello! I am 31 weeks and hoping for an elective c section at St H after a traumatic emergency c section with my daughter (at a different hospital). I have had one call with a consultant midwife but have been left with more questions than answers - can anyone recall how late in pregnancy their c section was agreed? I know I've got a good few weeks but I'm getting quite anxious and I don't know what to expect in terms of timeline.
@Sally They always leave it super late 🙈 I really pushed to get mine on the books asap, just kept calling until they connected me with the right person. Got it scheduled at 34W for 38 + 3. Usually they’ll schedule them for 39W
I had an elective there a month ago. They were excellent. I had my first there via emergency c section 14 years ago. I cant fault them They put me at ease. The whole thing was explained. The anaesthetists were excellent. The pain during the spinal etc was minimal. The midwives were lovely. There's a reason thier maternity department wins lots of awards x
