I was induced with my second and had a very pleasant experience with it but i have heard others had a not so great time with it. One of my friends was induced, labored for 24 hrs and needed a c section in the end. I was induced, labored for 7 hours and baby was born quickly, he was also on the smaller side so I didn't even tear with him. I only experienced pain when I had to push because they gave me a low dose epidural but ince the pain felt really bad he was already out in my doctors hands so after that it didn't hurt much.
So it's not painful I had this with my first and the IV and epidural hurt a little bit but other than that it didn't hurt
Anyone wants to message me they can
This is my first but I'm being induced on Monday I know other people who have been induced some say the contractions with pitocin are worse some say they're not as bad I think it just depends on the person
I had the epidural with my induction. My water started leaking and I tried it natural, but after 36hrs of horrible contractions (couldn’t walk/talk, throwing up) and not going past 4cm they had to induce me. They did warn me that the contractions would get worse and suggested the epidural since I hadn’t slept in 36hrs. I got the epidural and it was amazing! 8 hours later I had my baby. No pain, I was able to sleep, couldn’t feel them stitching me back up and I had an easy recovery
I’ve been induced twice. Had one natural labor. Induced contractions were more intense more quickly but not more painful overall. The struggle with induced contractions is that your hormones don’t rise to provide natural pain relief at the same rate as the pictocin is causing contractions. This makes people feel like it hurts more. Most induction horror stories come from induction that is done when your body isn’t ready at all and there for it fails and leads to a C-section. It is most successful if your body is already preparing for labor so I’d definitely be doing curb walking and yoga ball circles combined with the miles correct dates and red raspberry tea to try to help things be ready.
@Aubry thank you for the details!
Following. Also getting induced soon😅👀
