I've actually had the same consultant the entire way through and booked c section date at 16 weeks! Super early. Surely the other consultant has updated your notes about your wishes to book a c section?
@Emily That’s great it was booked in early atleast. Mine they dnt wanna talk about birth plan till 36wk appt :/
@Nell I don’t know really :(. Nothing on my notes
The only problem with knowing the date this early, is that now I'm counting down the days and it seems forever lol
I’ve had a different one every time too but I booked my elective c-section at my 20 week appt
@Emily Can imagine lol, but it will come 1st . I do feel like time is running out now even to prepare myself for. @Daisy That’s awesome. I wasn’t sure from the beginning,so didn’t mention before but again didn’t know that nothing will be booked till 36wk here.
Yeah I was surprised at 20 week appt when I said that was what I had decided that they just booked it there and then!
@Daisy Who booked it for you was it the consultant or midwife?
Yeh I see a different consultant each time it’s just whoever is working that day, from what I remember last time they sort of just ask you your reasons why, go over the risks, ask if you understand and then you go home and read the information they give you/think about it, then I had to have another appointment with a different consultant to confirm it’s still what I wanted and they both agree and then you get booked in x
It was the consultant but there was a midwife in the consultation too so they both kind of did it together
I have never had the same consultant but my hospital seems pretty good with keeping all notes from last appointment. You just need to fill them in a little if there are any blanks
I have seen a different one every appt too, I booked mine last week at 32 weeks, she just wanted to make sure I was still happy to go ahead still.
