By 6 weeks I started exercising again and my progress really started (my section wasn’t an emergency though). The swelling took about 6 weeks to disappear and quickly my core started returning. I was running races again by 5m pp and my body felt normal again xx
I’m 8 weeks down really quite early on too but I made sure I used light compression from Two weeks on and then a macom compression garment and I don’t really have a ledge that’s with zero exercise or eating well tbh i still haven’t lost a huge amount to be fair but Im trusting my body will do what it needs to do now ,at three weeks I felt pretty defeated with my body but it’s soooooo so early trust the process !

I used the seraphine post partum Pants for light compression initially because my belly and scar just wasn’t up for much more u can use any post partum pants tho the seraphine ones rolled down on me a lot , I waited till I felt comfortable enough to use the macom high back girdle check the measuring guidelines before you order ,ur meant to use a compression insert but I found it to be to bulky it starts off uncomfortable but eases off - it’s pricey but I wear it everyday and for me it’s worked
I’ve just started to feel like my body is looking familiar (still different obviously) at 5 months post c-section. I feel like I’ve only just got rid of all the fluid and bloating. Things have settled down a lot now. Stretch marks are fading, skin is tightening slowly, ribs are going back to normal position, ankles aren’t swelling as much. My scar doesn’t bother me at all, the stretch marks do but it is what it is, there’s more to life than skin that has stretched to carry a human. I didn’t use anything other than my pregnancy creams and oils x
In 7 months post partum and my shelf is still there, it improved over time but still there (only diet and workout will do the trick) but with baby work and everything still don't manage to have a routine with workouts so I can't see it going down too soon. Anyway. It took 6 months for me to be able to workout again, but yeah I'm basically doing everything I was doing before pregnancy now.
