I’m in the same boat with my sex drive… basically non existent. I really have to make the effort to have sex now. I have found that my drive is slowly coming back though. I think we need to cut ourselves slack… all birth is traumatic and hard! Our bodies have gone through so much. Give yourself time ❤️
@Sophie thank you yes I will book a GP Appt 😫
@Steph finally someone who feels the same! How long did it take for it to slowly get back to how it was before birth? You’re right I do need to stop being so hard on myself but it’s hard. Life is so different postpartum! X
It came back around 4 months mark but then dropped off again when I had my first period. To be honest I haven’t felt the same since. But I don’t think that’s a physical thing I think it’s more my husband and I navigating the new relationship dynamics etc!
I would say this isn't normal but then again everyone's recovery is completely different. I had a traumatic birth with my first and had an episiotomy and forceps had sex 4 weeks pp no sensation loss and my drive was coming back after it disappeared during pregnancy. If you have concerns I would talk to your GP about it as they can tell you if this is normal or not
