I changed from Hillingdon to wexham park hospital and I'm SO glad I did they were amazing
Northwick Park. I had both mine there and had pretty good care
I had mine at Hillingdon in 2023 but I had two pals have theirs at wexham and were happy.
I had both mine at Watford instead of Hillingdon and couldn’t fault them on either birth.
I live right next to hillingdon hospital but chose to go to west Middlesex in isleworth it’s been great so far
I swapped from Northwick Park to Hillingdon in 2021 😂 Hillingdon were MILES better than NWP then. I’m having my second through the Hillingdon home birth team and so far they’ve been great! The department is Very separate to the rest of Hillingdon hospital! They come to my flat for all antenatal appointments and it’s a small team so I see the same midwives each time and they will also be the ones to deliver. They also gave me an extra antenatal appointment which you don’t usually get with a second baby. Didn’t think I’d be a home birth kinda gal but I think the stress of getting to the hospital affected me last time and it feels nice to know I won’t have to move (except in case of complications obviously) all same drugs are available (pethadine, gas and air) it’s just epidural that’s not available.
To add, if I couldn’t have a homebirth at Hillingdon, I’d probably look at Wexham park… not go to Hillingdons maternity
Could Queen Charlotte in Hammersmith be an option? I’m from Hillingdon and had my first two babies at QC.
Queen Charlotte
I had my 1st at Hillingdon and was like never again. My second I had at Queen Charlotte’s and they were incredible. It’s not near to Ruislip, but I couldn’t have asked for a better hospital.
