If it’s the one in Tooting, I haven’t given birth there but I did have some fetal medicine care there in both my pregnancies and honestly could not fault them. They were so professional, caring & made me feel SO at ease. Both times I was experiencing complications and they were so sensitive. I couldn’t have asked for better honestly
@Sarah yes in tooting
I didn’t give birth there as I was moving house and chose St Thomas’, but I used St George’s a few times for injuries, a&e, physio. I also have a few friends who gave birth there and a few like me who chose elsewhere. Reviews are mixed for a lot of hospitals as experiences are very individual and personally I wouldn’t go to Georges for serious care (like a birth). I didn’t feel safe in any encounter I had there and my bf was left without water and a broken call bell after birth. It’s a failing maternity unit and low CQC rating but I have heard nice things about the Birthing Centre (but it’s only open if staffed). Maybe ask to view the unit and speak with staff to make a decision asap. You have the right to choose your birth method and your care unit xx
