Lost my plug!

I'm 36 weeks tomorrow and this morning, I believe I lost a bit of my mucus plug. I feel fine, aside from a cold that I have currently. I messaged my doctor and she said losing the plug doesn't mean much unless I feel contractions less than five minutes apart. I don't remember losing my plug with my four year old, but I definitely noticed with my oldest. There was no tint of blood in it and it was just green/yellow. And I'm faaaairly certain it was just a piece. But what should I expect from here? My four year old was born at 36 weeks on the dot and I'm actually extremely nervous it'll happen again now. I'm scheduled to be induced at 38 weeks (November 1st). How long did you last after losing your plug before going into labor? I'm a nervous wreck.

I lost my mucus plug on the 12th (35w6d) but I was 1cm dilated and 50% effaced before that im currently 36w4d and im still 1cm dilated 50% effaced and my cervix is extremely soft(how my dr said it) im home now from my appointment and im contracting so much and the menstrual cramping is so bad 🥲

@Victoria Aguilar they haven't checked me at all to see if I am dilated, but I've also not been having any signs of labor. I panicked a little when I saw the plug because I couldn't remember how long it took for labor to start after you lose it, but according to my Facebook comments on a post I made, it can vary and can also grow back. I doubt they will happen, but I guess it's just a waiting game at this point lol. Good luck to you!

@Kaylynn I've resurched that it will most likely grow back if you aren't dilated or effaced but if you are diluted and effaced then it's more unlikely to grow back hopefully you are dilated!🤞🏼

So mucus pugs can regenerate.

I lost some of mine a few weeks ago lost a little more just yesterday currently 37 weeks. Lile your dr said unless it's associated with contractions, bleeding or your water breaking there's nothing to be covered about and it doesn't necessarily mean anything in terms of if labor is coming soon. It can regenerate itself.
