at the beginning it was like bad period cramps. once things progressed it was like a deep ache/cramp in my hips and lower back. i lost my mucus plug/bloody show then started contracting a couple hours later
Yes. Mild then harder.
Period cramping to begin with, then when it was more intense it was more cramping in my front and back. Once I got to around 7+cm it was more pressure down below on top of the contractions
Trust me you will know when ur having contractions they are not pleasant!!!
Everything was so different with my second. My water broke and I didn’t feel contractions. I had to look at a screen and be told when I was having them 😅
Tmi but diarrhea and what felt like period cramps but higher up and more intense and that started early in the morning about 6-7am then i went to the bathroom and lost my mucus plug about 10:30am ish the 14th and my water broke at 6pm i ended up having her at 1:43am the 15th
@Kels not true if you have a high pain tolerance i had no idea i was having contractions until i was 5cm dilated and my water broke the nurses were shocked that i walked in and said it just felt like period cramps a little more intense tho then got to the room and they checked me and when she checked me my water broke and i was 5cm dilated it didnt reallyhurt bad at all until 8cm then it was pretty bad by 9 cm i was about to break the bed😭
I was similar to Linaa. I had mild cramp all day and wasn’t sure if it was contractions. I picked my husband up from work. Went up maternity to check my baby’s movements as I was so focused on the cramps I hadn’t noticed my baby move. All was ok. I mentioned I had cramps and wondered if it was contractions. They told me i would know when to go in. Time I drove home and got home the cramps were uncomfortable. They were like s cramp being controlled with a volume button being turned up at the end. I had little time between cramps too. I drove back to hospital. Did a urine sample noticed a show. They checked me I was 4cm. 4 hours later my girl was here. I’d say I still wouldn’t have known they were contractions until very close to delivering lol everyone’s different..
It was like someone was forcing bricks down on my uterus 😂
I couldn't feel them... Even though they were 2-3 mins apart straight away after my water broke at home 😂 my mum had to tell me I was having contractions as she was watching my bump lol no wonder the hospital didn't believe that I was in labour
I had back contractions with my first because he was born facing the other way “sunny side up”. Every contraction felt like my back was breaking and someone jumped on my lower back- I would collapse to the floor with each contraction 🫠 my poor boy was born with a huge bump on his head from it because each contraction smushed his skull into my spine.
Mine felt like a rope being tied around my uterus and someone pulling it tighter and tighter until it peaked, and then slowly releasing. No labour signs. I had a crampy backache and my contractions started 20 mins later!
