Ahh that's bad timing tbh as your child is very likely to be constantly getting sick for the first few months. Especially because it's winter! If you need some flexibility with pickups then I think you should mention it asap in case they can't accommodate. My youngest can stay at nursery until 6 if needed so it works fine around work but our eldest is at school which is much trickier with the early pickups.
They don’t have to accommodate flexible working no, they just have to consider your application. I’d mention it asap tbh because you wouldn’t want to start, realise they won’t/ can’t accommodate what you need and then have to leave as it’s a bit of a waste of everyone’s time. You’ll also get the vibe then for how helpful/ supportive they’ll be around family life. Do you have someone who can collect LO from nursery if they’re sick? If not is there a possibility of holding off starting work until LO is settled into nursery and hopefully the illnesses have settled? Employers don’t usually like frequent absence due to childcare, especially if you’re very new and you’d be in a probation period. I think honesty and an open conversation can go a really long way 😊

Tell them upfront. No point in wasting your time or theirs. It’s information they should know. They may or may not be flexible and that’s also something you should now before going through the whole process
I would wait until offered the position, then say you accept subject to salary and working arrangements. Then you can enquire about flexibility.
