Right So I’m a mental health professional and I for myself sooooo worked up that u was closely monitored post op due to my heart rate. There was NO NEED. The section was an utter dream. They do it days in days out. It’s quick and pain free. Recovery went well. YOUVE GOT THIS‼️‼️
Try not to worry, it's the best day ever it's so relaxed and everyone is so lovely. I was exactly the same when I was told we would have a c section 5 years ago. I did find an episode of one born every minute where the lady had an elective c section and that put my mind at ease watching that. And once you've had them let people help you as much as possible and rest but also try and walk about it helps with the recovery 😊 good luck 🥰
We were allowed to play our choice of music in theatre, which helped to make it a calm atmosphere. I felt a bit overwhelmed by it all, but found focusing on the nurse and anaesthetist really helped. Our daughters were out quickly (one emergency and one planned) and once they arrived the rest went so quickly, as I was focused on the baby. Some people find constipation a problem after, so worth having something at home just in case. A planned section is so chilled though. It was just incredibly obvious that everyone had their roles and did them well. You've got this!
You and baby are going to be safe. Since you have a date, the hospital is prepared and even if you happen to go into labour before they know what to do. Try to prepare for afterwards, don't lift anything other than baby. See if someone can help you with for meals and don't bend over stretch the csection area too much. The actual csection will be over before you know it!
