@Heather after my first C-section I was quite poorly so I didn't start driving till 4 week pp, but this C-section is the complete opposite and feel like I could drive now, but they said minimum of 2 weeks, so I think I'll start driving from 2 weeks pp, thank you for your reply x
I was told- if you can shoulder check and hit the break you are good!! I was driving a week and a half later
Maybe check with your car insurance. Mine say 6 weeks, and my gp needs to say that it is safe for me to drive x
Definitely check with your insurance company, a lot say 6 weeks. Also you have just had major surgery, I would wait a few more weeks. I didn’t drive for 6 weeks after both of my c sections. X
The doctor said 2 weeks so I kinda waited two weeks. I say kinda because I did drive myself to that appointment before technically getting cleared, and I felt so weird the whole time driving there as if I’d get pulled over and the cop would know 😅
I waited about a week and a half. I went to get Starbucks and pick up a pizza lol.
6 weeks
I drove 5 days PP to an appointment. My OB said as long as I felt ok getting in and out, checking my blind spot and slamming on the brakes in case of emergency that I was fine to drive.
Thank you everyone for all the replies, I'll be sure to ring my insurance and ask them just to make sure that they cover for 2 weeks pp driving, I have quite a few appointments coming up in the coming weeks and could really do with driving to them, the buses near me are very questionable when it comes to safety🫣
2 weeks. My husband went back to work so I had to go and do like doctors appointments or groceries and what not. But when my husband was home I didn’t drive at all
If you don’t need to go anywhere or you have someone to drive for you then I wouldn’t do it. Take the time to heal. Wait to go on walks and wait to drive
My first two csections my doctors said 2 weeks so I started driving at 2 weeks... even after my 3rd
